Eat The Friek release an album ‘Ploom’ on Crumb Jungle Records.
Available to download or stream, the five tracks from the Glasgow-based act comprise a 22-minute “trip into raw, experimental, garage psych-rock.”
For their latest release the band worked with Robbie Wilson of The Kundalini Genie to recorded the tracks at Paul’s Halls in Cumbernauld, before being mixed and mastered by Jason Shaw.
The trio – originally from Aberdeen – debuted in May 2019 with EP ‘Heart of the Snail’ and gigging around Scotland – before being halted by Covid-19 – alongside bands such as John (Times Two), The Psychotic Monks and The Wood Burning Savages.
Just before lockdown the band released their single ‘Muttrip’ which coincided with a sold-out release show at Henry’s Cellar Bar in Edinburgh.
The album is available to download or stream now – more at facebook.com/eatthefriek.
