Dropkick release a career-spanning compilation, entitled ‘The Best of Dropkick’, via Sugarbush Records.

With music spanning well over a decade, the limited edition gatefold double, 140gm vinyl set contains 30 tracks with colour booklet.

Also included in the package are another two CDs featuring another 20 tracks from the band’s 14-album recorded history, including most recent ‘The Scenic Route‘, which came out in February 2020.

The album was mainly recorded in Dropkick’s rehearsal space in Inch House, Edinburgh, which has been their base since 2008.

The recordings featured were made by a variety of Dropkick lineups over the years. The songs and vocals of Andrew Taylor are an ever-present feature of the band, alongside founding member Ian Grier.

The current incarnation of the band – Taylor and Grier, plus Mike Foy and Alan Shields – can be heard in session on a recent edition of is this music?’s webradio show.

The album also comes as a CD version, from Sound Asleep Records, and as a Bandcamp download.
