Dropkick release a new album, ‘The Lockdown Session’. It is an unexpected early follow-up to the band’s ninth long-player, ‘The Scenic Route‘, which came out in February 2020.

As its title suggests, the 10 new songs were recorded, in solo mode, by Andrew Taylor during unexpected spare time at home, and based on a collection of ideas made on his phone over the past year.

The band’s lead vocalist then assembled these snippets into 10 new songs in mid-April, recording and mixing the completed album over the space of three days.

The album is available as a free download – a limited batch of homemade CDRs with artwork by Carlos Baonza were available with the first run selling out in 24 hours, but a second batch has now been manufatured.

Also made in isolation is a video for ‘Not Running Out’. More at dropkickmusic.co.uk
