Dragged Up release a debut mini-album, ‘D/U’,

The seven-track release – running to 33 minutes – has already received ‘Album of the week’ from Kool Strings in France, and, we’re advised, draws from “fragmented memories of disturbed childhood TV programming and late-night cult videos”.

The quintet were formed in Glasgow in late 2018 by Lisa Jones – a spoken word performer and writer of ‘Baptism of Failure’ and ‘Happy Birthday, Glen and Phyllis’ – along with Eva Gnatiuk of Las Mitras on guitar and vocals, and Simon Shaw, previously of Trembling Bells / Lucky Luke.

Vom / Bad Aura bassist Chas Lalli joined the trio in mid-2019, along with former Cosmic Dead drummer Julian Dicken.

Self-recorded on 4-track, the record was also mixed and self-released by the band, and is available as a download, limited cassette, and super-limited CD.
