Edinburgh takes full advantage of having a full consignment of venues open, for the time being, with the bulk of the interesting shows this week.

Thursday: has A Tribe Called Red at the Bongo Club, and Oxjam at the Electric Circus, and another charity show at the HMV Picturehouse. Music like a Vitamin has Withered Hand, Sparrow and the Workshop, Fatherson and the Birthday Suit – four bands for a fiver and a great cause.
Then the capital goes quiet, in preparation for Haddowfest, which is an all-dayer on Sunday with The Cribs, the 10:04s, Meursault, United Fruit and a load more…
Elsewhere, Aberdeen welcomes Public Service Broadcasting to Tunnels on Thu 25th, then Indianredlopez, same place, the night after.
Netsounds Unsigned again has a Takeover of Mad Hatters in Inverness, on Friday 26th. On the bill: Discopolis, Naked Strangers, and Chris Devotion & the Expectations.
Saturday sees So Many Animal Calls at Dundee’s Non Zero’s (a new venue?)
In Glasgow, plenty of shows… Heaven 17 are at the O2 Academy on Wed 24th. Django Django (who you may have heard of) play the ABC on Thursday, and on the same night Malcolm Middleton takes Human Don’t Be Angry to Paisley Arts Centre
On Friday Randolph’s Leap are at The Glad Cafe on Glasgow’s South side, while Broadcast opens up with Chris Devotion plus Three Blind Wolves playing the opening night on Thurs, with United Fruit on Saturday
Last but not least Sunday, Rolo Tomassi are at King Tut’s…
