Django Django release a single in advance of their forthcoming album, ‘Marble Skies’, which is set for release in January.

‘Tic Tac Toe’ is the first track to come from the Edinburgh act’s third long-player, which will follow up 2012’s Mercury Prize-nominated debut, and 2015’s ‘Born Under Saturn’.

Shot in Hastings, the accompanying video for ‘Tic Tac Toe’ was directed by former Beta Band man John Maclean, brother of Djangos’ drummer/producer David and director of critically acclaimed western ‘Slow West’.

The director said of the Bergman-inspired video: “The film could be about the fading era of the beach arcades, time moving too fast, love and games, horror and happiness but it is actually about a man who needs to go buy a pint of milk to make a cup of tea.”

The band have one Scottish date in Edinburgh this autumn, on November 25th at the Assembly Rooms (Alternative Peers’ Ball)
