Deer Leader release a single ‘Crocodile’ on Last Night From Glasgow.

Released digitally, the track also appears on a limited edition split 7″, with ‘Machine’ by Out Of The Swim (ft. Laura Hickli).

The trio – multi=instrumentalists Stuart McQuarrie, Ross Prentice and Robin Pringle – previously recorded single ‘Four Deuces‘ for the label.

Initially a purely instrumental outfit the group has spent the last few years reworking their sound, with producer Andy Miller (Mogwai, Arab Strap, Life Without Buildings) recording their debut album.

Of the single, the band say: “‘Crocodile’ explores the sonic landscape between dream self and nightmare in an age of individualism, where the nature of the individual has never been more dichotomised.

“The track looks at the way in which we are more in conflict with our identity than ever before; constantly revisited by the ghost of ourselves.”
