Damn Dirty Duke release a single, ‘No Meaning Exists Here’.
The Glasgow-based duo – vocalist/costume designer Colette Dryburgh & multi-instrumentalist/producer Detroit Law – previously put out an EP, ‘Multi Muscle Disciplinary’.
The new track, the band say, is on the “topical subject of our mortality and impermanence on this planet… these concepts are explicitly portrayed through expressions of ritual, violence, material success, with the shedding of ones ego as they let go of their “Hopes, desires and fear”.
The single is only available via streaming platforms – not as a download, so they’re clearly not in it for the money.
Unfortunately all tour dates have been postponed, although there are (tentative) plans to play Glasgow’s King Tut’s on the 1st of August, supporting Vlure.
