Top names from Scottish literature and music, including RM Hubbert, Loki, Elaine C. Smith, and Alan Bissett are to perform at CommonFest at Glasgow QMU on Friday 17 April.

Also on the bill are comedian Vladimir McTavish, David MacGregor of Kid Canaveral, Lady Alba and Suspire.

Inspired by the political engagement across Scotland during last year’s referendum campaign, the event is organised by the Common Weal North Glasgow local group. Its aim is to bring Common Weal ideas and ideals to the local community ahead of the General Election, their ‘Red Lines’ campaign being a theme of the evening, encouraging voters to elect politicians who will stick to key red line issues, including Trident and austerity, in any support for a minority government.
