Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 release a new single, ‘Ted Dancin’.

On Button Up Records – the label run by Proclaimers bassist Garry John Kane – the track is a homage to dancin’, and Cheers and Curb Your Enthusiasm star Ted Danson.

Available to download via Apple Music or Amazon, or on a limited edition CD, the single will provide some sort of solace for fans missing the band’s legendary live shows this summer.

Their year began with a sold out gig at Celtic Connections in The Old Fruitmarket and had more than 10 festivals planned – following the Covid-19 outbreak these have now all rolled over into 2021.

The troupe have previously played over 50 festivals in Scotland, England, Wales and Korea (twice – where they made the ‘Seoul’s Got Soul’ video).

The Dijons have also sold out multiple venues in their home city of Glasgow; King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Saint Luke’s, O2 ABC, O2 Academy, the SSE Hydro, and were inducted into the Barrowland Ballroom Hall of Fame in December 2018 following their third headline gig there, where their name plaque now sits proudly on the Hall of Fame Wall backstage in between Iggy Pop and David Bowie.

The follow-up to ‘Party To Make Music To Party To Make Music To Party To‘ will be entitled ‘The Difficult Number 2’ – the long-awaited album is complete and will be released by Button Up either later this year or the beginning of next.

A video of ‘Ted Dancin’ by Martin J Windebank Photography & Film will premiere on Sunday August 30th at 5.55pm on the Dijon YouTube channel.
