Close Lobsters release their first new full-length album since 1989’s ‘Headache Rhetoric’.

On Last Night From Glasgow, ‘Post Neo Anti’ comprises material recorded following their 2012 reformation, and like the band’s debut release is produced by John Rivers.

The Paisley act first came to prominence with the track ‘Firestation Towers’ on the NME’s C86 compilation, before signing to Fire Records and releasing debut single ‘Going To
Heaven To See If It Rains’ in October 1986, which was followed by debut album ‘Foxheads Stalk This Land’.

The band toured extensively in the UK, Germany and the USA and Canada, but went on a lengthy hiatus, although Fire released a ‘Best of’ Singles retrospective, ‘Forever, Until Victory!’ in 2009.

The band then reformed to play the second Madrid Popfest in 2012, and recorded new material which surfaced on 2014’s ‘Kunstwerk in Spacetime’ EP.

The 2020 lineup sees four original members – Andrew Burnett, Bob Burnett, Tom Donnelly and Stewart McFadyen – joined by Jim Taylor, who replaces Graeme Wilmington.

The new album is a mix of material spanning 2014 and 2019, with the second side of the vinyl release having the most up-to-date recordings, from last year, and is available to download via bandcamp or physically, Last Night From Glasgow or Shelflife Records (Portland, Oregon)
