Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison, Clare Grogan out of Altered Images, and the Vaselines‘ Frances McKee are among the acts confirmed to play Glasgow’s Citizens’ Theatre in October.
The Citz Sessions is a series of curated gigs in the Victorian auditorium in the city’s south side.
On Friday 14th October, former Shop Assistant and journalist Ann Donald curates an evening celebrating some of the best Scottish female indie female musicians of recent years including Clare Grogan, Frances McKee, Annie Booth and Mairi Fenella.
Saturday 15th October sees radio DJ Vic Galloway introduce his choices – Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit, Dan Willson (aka Withered Hand), Jacob Yates and the Pearly Gate Lock Pickers and Rick Redbeard.
And Sunday 16th October sees the turn of Gaelic songstress Kathleen MacIness, introducing a piece called ‘Displacement’ and looking at how Gaels and travellers have congregated in Glasgow.
