Don’t know if Vic Galloway was planning on any guests on his show (BBC Radio Scotland, Monday 8-10pm) but as it happens, Nicola Meighan is siting in. Anyway, you can still hear The Grand Gestures session from last week’s show.
And Jim Gellatly’s InDemand Uncut (Sunday 20th, 7pm, on Forth, Clyde et al…) has Chvrches in for a chat – more (including, possibly, last week’s Fratellis session) at www.indemandscotland.co.uk
(There’s also a video session the band did for Xfm)
On telly – Lloyd Cole will appear on Later with Jools Holland on Tues 15 / Fri 18th – appropriately enough as his band will not be the Commotions, but The Leopards. Appropriate because this is the 20th anniversary of Glasgow’s Creeping Bent label, and the Leopards were the band who opened the label’s launch showcase gig.
Now on iPlayer is The Great Hip Hop Hoax – which as everyone now knows, is the story of Silibil ‘N’ Brainz and their attempts to fool the rap community with their disguised north-east accents.
