Catholic Action release a single, ‘Propaganda’.

The band’s debut album ‘In Memory Of This’ is out this autumn via Modern Sky.

The quartet – Ryan Clark, Jamie Dubber, Andrew Macpherson and Chris McCrory – formed in 2014, fronted by McCrory, drummer in Casual Sex, who was already working as a producer, most notably at Glasgow’s Green Door studios.

The singer has combined with co-producer on the new material, with Margo Broom, who has previously worked with Fat White Family, Goat Girl, Phobophobes and Dead Pretties.

Of the single, Chris McCrory says: “‘Propaganda’ is a bad reaction to a hellish night. Spent up to my neck in landfill indie and cheap pints. A drunken epiphany on the dance floor, when you realise you’re very, very lost. Alternatively, for the higher-browed among us, here is a Haiku (俳句) on the matter:

“Out of place and time
I will never be like you
I’ve drawn my own line.”
