Neither the festival season, or, er, the Festival season show no signs of abating, despite both being oficially over.

On Wednesday 27th, Candythief is at Edinburgh’s Studio24, while at Henry’s Cellar, former Goodbye Mr McKenzie mainman Martin Metcalfe has a solo show.

Same city, following night, eagleowl are at Henry’s, with a rare appearance from Smackvan in support

On Friday, The Wedding Present return to their favourite Fife haunt, for a set at The Greenside in Leslie.

Things, really, er, kick off on Saturday. In Aberdeen, we have Indianredlopez at Captain Tom’s, while in Edinburgh,Paws are at Henry’s

Meanwhile, closer to Dumfries than anywhere else, the Electric Fields all-dayer with We Were Promised Jetpacks and Fatherson among many others.

And sad times – Stirling’s finest, Miniature Dinosaurs play what will be their last-ever show – at their old haunt, The Tolbooth.

Nearby (ish), A New International will be quite at home, with a show at Cumbernauld AM Rehearsal Studios

A double-dayer in Glasgow’s Richmond Park – The Last Big Weekend promises a massive indie-schmindie Saturday lineup – Mogwai, Swervedriver, The Wedding Present, and quite a few more.
And the fun continues into Sunday with a decidedly more dance-oriented lineup, including Hudson Mohawke and Jeff Mills
