Callum Beattie releases a new single ‘Salamander Street’ on 3Beat / Universal.

The self-penned track, currently BBC Radio 2 playlisted, is taken from debut album ‘People Like Us’, and follows up ‘Ghosts In The Dark‘, released in April.

It’s available alongside a new remix of debut single ‘We Are Stars‘, produced by Clear Six (aka John Goodier and perhaps best known for co-produceing ‘Headphones’ by Nelly ft. Nelly Furtado from the top 5 album ‘M.O.’)

The self-penned ‘Salamander Street’ refers to the road in Leith, and saw Irvine Welsh retweet the lyrics.

He also recently reworked ‘Some Heroes Don’t Wear Capes‘ in honour of NHS Professionals.

Beattie said of the new track: “‘Salamander Street’ has always been a firm fan favourite, so it’s great to have it out there. I also got to shoot the video during the night in a wet and empty Edinburgh during lockdown! What’s not to like?”

Beattie’s album ‘People Like Us’, which came out in May, is still available – it debuted at #1 on the Official Scottish Album Chart; #7 in the UK Physical Album Chart; #14 in the Download Album Chart; and #6 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter Album Chart.

The remainder of the tour coinciding with the album launch has been moved has moved to December 2020.

8th December – Cafe Drummond, Aberdeen
9th December – The Caves, Edinburgh
10th December – King Tut’s, Glasgow
