Calamateur (Inverness-based singer/songwriter Andrew Howie) releases a single, ‘Banoffee’ on his own Autoclave label.
Taken from album Each Dirty Letter, it comes with several bonus covers – ‘Flesh and Blood’ (originally by Johnny Cash), ‘Strong Hand’ (originally by Emmylou Harris), and his version of Flaming Lips ‘Feeling Yourself Disintegrate’, the latter of which has picked up airplay with 6Music’s Gideon Coe – just about ten years after debut single ‘White Light Unknown’ became a favourite with John Peel on Radio One.
