A quick run-through of what’s happening in the live scene in Scotland (ok, can’t find anything outwith the usual central belt, for which we apologise…)

Wednesday (12th) is 80s night in Glasgow, with grebo pioneers Pop Will Eat Itself at the Garage and former Aztec Camera frontmanRoddy Frame at the O2.

On Thurs 13th, in the capital,Bwani Junction, Miniature Dinosaurs and Blank Canvas and DJing from Vic Galloway – who coincidentally, has a new column in The Herald where he punts, yes, Bwani Junction (no, it’s not online yet, should have bought a copy…)

Thursday, again at the Glasgow Garage, Thomas Truax brings his magical musical machines to town for what may be the last time – his work permit has apparently run out and he is to return to Wowtown not long after this show.

Archive Trails, which you may have read about previously, brings Wounded Knee and Alasdair Roberts to the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh on Sun 16th.

And also on Sunday, Herman Dune play Glasgow’s King Tut’s. Here’s the band in what may be the best pop video ever…
