On Tuesday, two-piece noise rawkers and occasional hydraulic platform manufacturers Bronto Skylift crash into Henry’s (former jazz) Cellar in Edinburgh

We Were Promised Jetpacks are taking a meandering trip around the country – they stop off at Dundee Doghouse on Wed 23rd; on Thu May 24 it’s Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree; then to Inverness Ironworks on Friday 25th; and on Sat 26ththe lucky denizens of Dunfermline can see the band at PJ Molloy’s.

Matt Norris & the Moon, play at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms on Wednesday 23rd. I suppose this will be an EP launch, though it’s not mentioned on the detail about their EP launch. Ah well.

Letters are in Edinburgh on Saturday, at the Wee Red Bar. Which is often where they are, to be honest. This is probably a launch show as well

North Atlantic Oscillation play at King Tut’s in Glasgow on Saturday. This might well be an album launch as well, but we take the Zen approach here – if it doesn’t make a sound then it didn’t happen.

Finally, on Sunday 27th, Bwani Junction play a home(ish) town show at Edinburgh Liquid Room. This is a fundraiser for MS research, so two good reasons to go along – tickets here.
