As usual, we recommend you something that it’ll be virtually impossible to get to unless you’re already o your way. Ladies and Gents, we present for you on Monday 9th (doors in 5 minutes or so), Jimmy Eats World at the Academy in Glasgow.

More realistic (on some levels), Tuesday 10th sees 80s agit-funk legends Pigbag at the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh (the first of quite a few shows in that location this week). Expect them to play that one with the big, brassy hook. You know the one

On Tue 10th, the hipsters among our congregation will doublless fancy seeing Bristolian electronic duo Feck Buttons at Glasgow’s SWG3

The Rave Child website is promoting another show, this time at Glasgow’s Broadcast on Wed 11th September. £3 gets you two for one cocktails, apparently (!) plus Wrongnote, Penfold and Black International – nice…

We move north (no, we don’t really, silly) to recommend you shake your collective bahookie to Blood Relatives – at Aberdeen’s Tunnels on Thuts 12th

Nevada Base are at Aviemore Old Bridge Inn Friday 13th – and, perhaps unfortunately given the lack of shows up that way, on the same night Deep Red Sky are at Mad Hatters in Inverness. Probably not navigable

On Friday 13th, lucky for anyone living in Fife to have a show to go to – this one is Selective Service, at PJ Molloys in Dunfermline

If you think Dunfy is off the gig map, spare a cheer for Eugene Twist, journeying to Greenock’s Beacon Arts Centre infor a show on Saturday night

Still out in the sticks… Shambles Miller appears at the Swan Inn in Stirling on Saturday

On Saturday 14th, more Voodoo (Room) action – a Limbo Presents… show with Adam Stafford, Thank You So Nice, and Et Tu Brute?

And the following night (that’s Sunday, keep up), Candythief‘s single launch, also at the Voodoo Rooms. This one’s free entry and has Pumajaw and Jo Foster also on the bill.

Finally, (unless you know different…) on Sunday – Californian indie veterans Giant Drag are at Glasgow’s Broadcast with what is, apparently, their farewell tour and last Glasgow appearance for Annie Hardy under that band name.
