Its the fifth long-player that Peter Kelly has put out under his pseudonym – previously the Glasgow-based singer-songwriter has been a member of Pupkin as well as Dragdoll (who were signed to Creation’s publishing arm).

This is the second release, after 2011’s White Feather Trail, to be recorded by multi-instrumentalist Stuart MacLeod, who also sings and plays guitar, mandolin and percussion on the new release. Other guests on the 11-track Darling Darkness, which was completed the second half of last year at Beetroot Studios in Airdrie, are Julia Doogan (Julia and the Doogans) and Louise Connell (Reverieme) on vocals.
