Beerjacket releases a new single, ‘Younger’.
The track comes from a forthcoming album – titled ‘Health Hour’ and due out on October 9th – and is available the usual streaming platforms as well as a Bandcamp download.
Single and album were written and self-produced, entirely alone at home during lockdown between March and July, “with no set idea of what it should or shouldn’t sound like.”
Essentially the acoustic home-recording project of Peter Kelly, Beerjacket has previously released three studio albums – 2011’s ‘The White Feather Trail’ and ‘Darling Darkness‘ in 2014, followed by the 2018 release on Scottish Fiction of an album of songs combined with a book of short stories, ‘Silver Cords‘.
This led to an appearance at the Edinburgh International Book Festival and radio play from BBC Radio 6 Music and KEXP, while Kelly has also opened for The National, St Vincent, Kristin Hersh, Joan As Police Woman, Feist, Mogwai, Bat For Lashes and Frightened Rabbit, amongst many others.
