Beaton releases a new single ‘Sayonara’, via the Samana7 label.
It’s the work of Gourock-based musician Scott Beaton – “rebranding for 2020 & beyond” – who as well as playing all instruments on the recording including “a warbled 808 drum machine & electric piano”, mixed and mastered the track in his home studio during lockdown.
It’s the first new music from the Gourock songwriter since December, when he released an EP, ‘Inside Voices’, in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.
Speaking to the Gourock Times, the singer, 28, said: “It’s been a really strange yet productive time and I’ve got another five singles written.”
The track is, apparently, available on all digital platforms – though we can’t find it on Bandcamp. You can however stream it on Spotify if that’s your thing.
