Scottish indie legends ballboy have resurfaced after a two-year recording absence to release a festive EP, entitled ‘Merry Christmas to the Drunks, Merry Christmas to the Lovers’.

The title track is accompanied by five pretty much all-new tunes – ‘East Coast (If I pass away from you)’, Pray for Murderers’, ‘Edinburgh’, ‘Winter Boots’, and ‘The National Trust’ – the latter being one which will be known to subscribers to is this music?’s podcast, as it appeared round this time last year in the run-up to that website’s 10th anniversary show.

All the songs were recorded mainly live with Pete Harvey at Pumpkinfield Studios, Perthshire, and at the Housechurch, Edinburgh. There are no signs of another live show at present, but you can keep up with the band at their Facebook page.
