Astrid release a new album, ‘Fall Stand Dance’, after a 14 year hiatus.
Available on Apple Music and Amazon as well as a Spotify stream, the 10-track album was produced by former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins, who also produced the band’s debut, 1999’s ‘Strange Weather Lately’. The new long-player in fact appears on Collins’ AED label.
The band, who formed while in Glasgow in the mid-1990s, previously released nine singles, three albums and three EPs before disbanding in 2004.
Including chief songwriters Charlie Clark and Willie Campbell, the Hebridean combo were also previously members of Scottish indie ‘supergroup’ The Reindeer Section, alongside members of Snow Patrol, Belle and Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, Arab Strap and Mogwai.
