Alan Mair releases a solo single, ‘Eyes To The Sky’, released via AWAL.

The Scottish bass player is one of Scotland’s first-ever pop stars – a member of The Beatstalkers – dubbed ‘The Scottish Beatles – he then went on to become a founder member of The Only Ones (best known for New Wave anthem ‘Another Girl, Another Planet’).

Mair wrote and produced the track, which features guitar from another Scottish musical legend – Zal Cleminson, of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.

Over his career – which in fact spans seven decades (!) – Mair has been supported by the likes of U2 and Simple Minds as well as supporting The Who, The White Stripes and Primal Scream.
