Ailsa and the Seahorses release a new EP, ‘The Centre of Everything’.

The debut product of the musical project of Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter, Ailsa McEwan, the four tracks include a single taken from the EP, ‘Seventeen’.

McEwan cites a “DIY ethic” as central to her work, and indeed the four tracks were recorded in a wardrobe with just a laptop and a microphone.

The EP is also largely a solo project, albeit including additional guitar on ‘Seventeen’ by Sam McEwan, while the tracks were mixed by Chris Glen in his living room.

There are three other tunes on the EP, available via bandcamp – Every Inch of the Dawn’, ‘Down Days’ and title track ‘The Centre of Everything’
