Roddy Frame, Glasvegas, and King Creosote are among the acts confirmed for the second annual Magners-sponsored Summer Nights festival.

The series of open-air live shows will now take in Edinburgh as well as Glasgow
Also on the line are James, The Flaming Lips, The Waterboys, Echo & the Bunnymen, Joan Armatrading and Ben Folds with yMusic.

Glasgow’s venue is again the Kelvingrove Park Bandstand and feature performances from King Creosote (6th Aug), Roddy Frame (7th Aug), Glasvegas (8th Aug), Joan Armatrading (13th Aug), Ben Folds with yMusic (14th Aug), and Echo & The Bunnymen (15th Aug).

And in Edinburgh, the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens will host gigs from James (26th Aug), the Flaming Lips (27th Aug) and the Waterboys (28th Aug).

Both events will, inevitably, include a “cider garden” (with food on sale, for anyone heading straight from work).
