Adam Stafford follows up last years’ Song, by Toad album release ‘Taser Revelations’ with a more (ahem) ‘experimental’ release, ‘Reverse Drift’.

The multimedia effort, which is on Glasgow’s Gerry Loves label, consists of a 56-page photobook paired with a 40-minute recording.

The features 24 landscape photographs taken by Adam, over a period of 18 years from 1999-2017.

The one track, lasting 40 minutes, is a single composition in three movements, recorded live and semi-improvised in one take with no overdubs and was created only with a synthesizer, a sequencer, some effects pedals and Adam’s voice.

The album gets its live launch at three shows: on Thursday 29th June at Stereo, Glasgow, with Sonny Carntyne and Paul Cowan also on the bill.
The ‘tour’ then moves to Newport Sound at Rio Community Centre in Newport-on-Tay
– this time along with Sonny Carntyne, Crakes support.

Finally, on Saturday 1st July, at Leith Depot, Edinburgh, with Half-Life Working Group (Drew Wright/Wounded Knee) as well as Sonny Carntyne.
