Adam Stafford releases a new, double A-side single – ‘Thirty Years of Bad Road’ / ‘Carnivore of Lawns’. You can pre-order it/buy here:

It’s the first new material of 2020 from the Falkirk-born musician and filmmaker, and along with the title track on 2019’s ‘History Of Longest Days’ EP, an unusual piece of song-based music following a series of instrumental and ambient releases.

Stafford has been recording what he calls “a very bare-bones album in lockdown on a 4-track Tascam each morning for two hours while my better half takes childcare duties”.

The two tracks forming the new single are the first fruits from these home sessions, and are available now, since, “to paraphrase RM Hubbert, ‘Obscurity is a musician’s biggest threat’.”

Stafford has also turned DJ to record a couple of lockdown mixes, available on Mixcloud.
