All doom and gloom, this Glasgow three-piece make a lot of noise for their size, and would I’m sure be great live if they can capture this sound and rank it up in a sweaty club setting to do these tunes justice.
‘Violent Dreams’, if you need a reference point, has a couple in Editors and MBV and is the most appealing track of the set, straddling that line between dark indie and chart hit (we can dream, as can they). ‘Remains’ is dead sloooow, with deliberate drumming and little flickers of keyboard, but understated with a vocal sounding a little like Aidan Moffat. Four tracks in all here, and each one showing some rough-edged promise.
