Carluke is to host a ‘jam’ (ho ho) of a different kind to the fruity preserve that the town is famous for on the weekend of 4th October.
Roddy Woomble will headline a series of musical events, ranging from orchestral ensembles and choirs, DJs and free street performances to the finale in the Lifestyles Centre on Saturday 5th October.

Local pubs The Crown, The Gallery, The Kirkton, The Railway and The Wee Thackit each host a live music evening with DJ Gump, The Gnomes, One Foot In The Groove and Bottle of Steven among the acts scheduled.

Saturday night’s Finale is the main event of the weekend – in Carluke Lifestyles Centre from 7pm, the gig is hosted by Clyde 1 DJ Jim Gellatly and headlined by Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble with guests Teen Canteen, Carbon Copy and Dukes of Uke.

Tickets are available at the South Lanarkshire website. More info on the Facebook page
