Wizard, north-east Scotland’s biggest music festival, iss to take a year off in 2012.
The event’s organisers are to look at plans for a possible new date for the event in 2013 and refocus on the size and scale of the event, held at the New Deer showground for the last five years.
The two day festival, attended by more than 5,000 music fans last year, wants to take the year off to develop partnerships with local businesses, the local council and community groups.
With other events citing the Olympics and Jubilee celebrations as a reason to take a year off the team behind Wizard have also said that they will look into funding options, in order to make the event stronger and more sustainable.
