Wide Days, the third conference organised by Edinburgh music social club Born to be Wide, will take place again, in an expanded two-day format, on April 11th and 12th.

Following the success of our events in 2010 and 2011, we are delighted to announce that Wide Days is back, and this time with the addition of an extra day.

Its remit is to offer cutting-edge seminars, workshops and keynotes with topics covering A&R, getting gigs abroad, audience development and a look at technological innovations.

Wide Days also plans panels aimed at both the tourism and music sectors – topics including programming bands at sporting events, working with musicians to promote destinations and a look at hotels which have boosted business through music.

Previous guests have included the organisers of leading festivals Rockness, T In The Park, The Edge,Edinburgh Hogmanay and Wickerman, as well as the managers of acts including Stevie Wonder, Texas, Primal Scream and The View. (that bit is cut and pasted from their press release, but probably sums up the event’s credibility pretty well).

The full ticket price for the two days is £45, but limited early-bird passes at £29 are available until March 12. Other discounts are available.
