International acoustic act Emmet Scanlan and What The Good Thought are to headline the Acoustic Village at this summer’s Wickerman Festival.

The Galway based 5-piece are a mix of Scots, Irish, Swedes and Italians and are described as “veering away from the norm but embraced by the majority.”

Also on the bill are Highlands-based songstress Rachel Sermanni, Sydney / Aberdeen combo The String Contingent (who blend baroque chamber music, Scottish fiddle and bluegrass), ex-Speedway singer Jill Jackson (reinvented as alt.country act), and Andi Neate.
