Shambles Miller is the first Scottish musician to use a new “next-generation music fanclub” system SupaPass to fund his career.
The new UK-based scheme works by taking subscriptions of 99p per month from fans, and the Glasgow-based songwriter was selected by the company to pioneer (or perhaps beta-test) the crowd-funding scheme.
The theory is that the fans get a “SupaPass” which will give them on-demand streaming of Shambles’ entire back-catalogue as well as access to a behind-the-scenes world (SupaBackstage). They will also be able to engage wiht the artist via video-conference. This will enable, in theory, any act on Supapass to spend more time working on material and less on promotion (as well as and scraping together cash to pay bills).
As Miller is part of a pilot scheme, fans can get a month’s free subscription to Shambles Miller’s Supapass by using code TSZQ7V2 at www.SupaPass.com/ShamblesMiller
