Glasgow Summer Sessions returns to Bellahouston Park this August – this time with The Killers the first announced headliner of five nights of big name open-air shows.

The event claims to be Scotland’s only annual outdoor city music festival – it’s certainly the largest, with close to 100,000 people attending last year’s series which included Eminem, Tinie Tempah, Avicci and Kings Of Leon. Expanding to five nights from 2013’s trio of shows, the organisers, DF Concerts, have resolved to work with local people and the council to improve organisation following residents’ complaints and multiple arrests at the Avicci show.

US act and T in the Park favourites The Killers are set to play a ‘Greatest Hits’ set at Bellahouston Park on Tuesday 19th August with Courteeners and Miles Kane also on the bill.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 25th April at www.gigsinscotland.com or via 08444 999 990.

Citylink buses from all major cities in Scotland and the North of England will run direct to Bellahouston Park, as well as shuttle buses on the days of the shows from Buchanan Street Bus Station to Bellahouston Park.
