Maybe it’s Oscar week’s influence, but more film news: several Scottish indie acts will hit the big screen this summer on the soundtrack to new Scottish film Fast Romance. The film has just secured a Cineworld Cinema release & will hit cinemas across Scotland around July.

The film is the first romcom to be made in Scotland since the days of Gregory’s Girl & Local Hero, and features a healthy serving of music from the likes of A Band Called Quinn, Kasule, Beerjacket, The Dirty Cuts, and The Scuffers.

The film also features Barbara Rafferty, Dave Anderson, Vincent Friell, Rab Buchanan & Sweet Sixteen star William Ruane.
