Glasgow Music and Film Festival has announced their headliners for 2013’s event. Jane Birkin will make an exclusive appearance, presenting the UK premiere of her film Souvenirs of Serge, a personal history of her relationship with Serge Gainsbourg. She will also perform ‘Songs of Serge’, a live performance of some of his best-known works.

Also, Jeff Mills, Detroit techno legend, will headline the all-day Sonic Cineplex event at Glasgow’s Arches, performing a live electronic soundtrack to Fritz Lang’s silent movie The Woman In The Moon.

And local indie interest comes in the form of Whatever Gets You Through the Night. The film is part of a project creating by director Cora Bisset, playwright David Greig and Swimmer One. Among those taking part in the live element are Eugene Kelly, Emma Pollock, Withered Hand and Rachel Sermanni.
