The Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Scottish Music Awards has launched a new ‘Fans Choice’ for their annual awards ceremony.
The oranisers have made the public vote a bit simpler for everyone – by setting a shortlist of five acts who can be voted for over the coming weeks in the lead-up to the charity bash at the Old Fruitmarket, Glasgow on Saturday 23 November, and voters will be entered into a draw for a pair of tickets to the star-studded event.

The quintet of nominees are Emeli Sandé, Biffy Clyro, Texas, Susan Boyle and Calvin Harris – the top 5-selling acts over the past 12 months. Sandé and Harris made thelonglist of 20 albums in the recent SAY awards won by RM Hubbert but neither made the top 10, which was chosen by a panel of judges as opposed to members of the public.

To vote for your favourite Scottish act form the list, go to and make your choice. Voting closes at midnight on Thu 14 Nov.
