Scottish-based singer/songwriters have been called upon to collaborate/contribute to a unique music project based on the music from the 2006 Irish music film ‘Once’.
UWS student David Bell has set up ‘Once: A Scottish Rendition’ as part of his BA (Hons) Commercial Music degree.

The concept is that Scottish-based singer/songwriters perform their own renditions of selected musical pieces from the original film, which starred Frames singer Glen Hansard, and Markéta Irglová. ‘Falling Slowly’ won Best Original Song at the Oscars that year.
