A quartet of Scottish bands feature on a Haiti benefit compilation put together by Dromedary Records of New Jersey. The label, active in the 90s with releases from The Mommyheads and Footstone, has relaunched after gathering together 16 tracks from bands from around the planet to produce ‘Make The Load Lighter – Indie Rock for Haiti’. The download release will see all proceeds going towards Haitian earthquake relief.
There Will Be Fireworks, Lions.Chase.Tigers, Farewell Singapore and Three Blind Wolves have donated tracks to the release and feature alongside the likes of The Gena Rowlands Band, Moviola and the Neutron Brothers.
Label boss Al Crisafulli said “It’s been great communicating with all four bands – this collection really has been a ton of fun, and it’s awesome to be able to do something quickly to raise money.”
