Voting is now open for the annual Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

28 bands are shortlisted across seven categories, including the likes of Pure Grief, Jutland Songs, Asthmatic Astronaut, Glkden Teacher, Siobhan Wilson, Tiberius, The Van T’s and Babe (we’ve selected a few purely at random to give you some idea of the kinds of acts feautred).

The SAMAs voting process lasts for just one more week, as the results will be annuounced at a Jim Gellatly-hosted show at The Garage on October 12th. Also on the bill that night, live performances from White, Holy Mountain and BooHooHoo .
