Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test will be a requirement for entry to this year’s TRNSMT festival, which takes place at Glasgow Green from September 10th.

The three-day event, with headliners including Courteeners, Liam Gallagher and The Chemical Brothers, is preceded by an outdoor Biffy Clyro gig the night before i.e. September 9th.

As Gateway Events, attendees to both shows must take a lateral flow test up to 48 hours BEFORE arriving at the site. The results have to be uploaded to the Government website, by scanning the QR code or entering the ID Number, providing contact details to receive a confirmation text & email – which should be shown to stewards at the site entrances (these can also be screenshotted for convenience).

Organisers are also asking attendees to order or collect their lateral flow tests, which are free of charge, as soon as possible. Anyone who is unable to present proof of a negative result will be denied admittance.

Fans attending multiple days across the weekend will be required to take a second test 48 hours after the first one – full details can be found at the TRNSMT website.

Primal Scream, Ash,Pip Blom, The Murder Capital, Snow Patrol, Amy Macdonald, Walt Disco, Little Simz, The Mysterines, Twin Atlantic, Vistas, Declan Welsh & the Decadent West, Chubby & the Gang, and Luke La Volpe and are among the other acts playing over the course of the three days.

Geoff Ellis, chief executive at TRNSMT, said: “I’m delighted to confirm that cinch presents TRNSMT has been given approval to take place this year due to its status as a Gateway Event, with permission to host up to 50,000 fans per day over the weekend of 10th – 12th September. We’re looking forward to working in partnership with the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council in delivering the festival.”

Tickets are still available for TRNSMT, or to give its full and extraordinarily cumbersome title, cinch presents TRNSMT – see trnsmtfest.com.
