Five Scots indie acts will be the main attraction at the opening of Parliament on Friday 1 July with Crayons, French Wives, The Imagineers, Maydays and White Heath playing live at Holyrood.
The bands have been programmed by the music business lecturers at Feast Records at Jewel and Esk College, Edinburgh and Electric Honey at Stow College, and will perform in the Parliament as part of a mix of youth choirs and orchestras, pipers, drummers and traditional Scottish musicians.
Before the main attraction, The Queen will get things warmed up with the Riding procession down the Royal Mile.
