New Glasgow venue Broadcast is set to open for the first time on Thursday 25th October, at 4pm.

The venue has set out its stall, with regular events such as Monday Film Night, a the Tuesday Quiz, a kitchen with staff from Crabshakk (no, me neither) and Stravaigan, plus, as you might imagine, various promos on drink as well as tie-ins on gigs inside and at the ABC.

The two floor venue, located at 427 Sauchiehall Street, is either a a sister venue to or replacement for The Captain’s Rest – certainly it is run by the people behind PCL Concerts, though the future for the Captain’s is unclear as the sale /conversion to The Hug and Pint recently fell through with the old pub being, apparently, sold to the brewery.

The launch gig on the 25th includes Three Blind Wolves / Brother & Bones / Chris Devotion and the Expectations, and is followed by shows from United Fruit / We Are The Physics, The New Piccadilly/ The Red Sands/ Taffy, and Hector Bizerk’s Halloween Hing feat. The Miss’s and Rio Callahan.
