Acts as diverse as Emma Pollock, Plaid and Hidden Orchestra are on the lineup as Aberdeen plays host to a new music festival intended to bring some light to the dark winter nights.

Spectra is a four-day event, programmed by Curated Place, which runs from 8 – 11 February alongside a light festival.

The lineup includes Warp Records legends Plaid (who are unveiling a new AV projection show), electronic supergroup Wrangler (also with visuals), and the incredible Hidden Orchestra (with stunning AV show) along with Stavanger’s world famous producer Lindstrøm.

Other Nordic acts include Faroese stars Orka, Icelanders Tonik Ensemble, Sykur, ADHD and the rocking Mammút, while from around the UK there’s Emma Pollock, Nányë, Cymbals, Bruch, Wyles & Simpson, Emilio Pinchi, Science of the Lamps and Mt. Wolf.
​​DJs James Orvis, Cler Lever (the first ever female DJ to play the main stage at Creamfields), influential Norwegian techno artist Mental Overdrive, plus Steve Cobby.
