Scotland’s very first female-positive music festival is to take place on July 16th. Pandora Fest makes its debut at DunCarron Medieval Fort in Carron Valley.

The aim is to celebrate women artists of all genres and give them a larger platform in the festival scene, but as the organisers point out, will also feature guys in the bands – as well as in the audience.

The multi-genre event features a global range of performers including Californian electronic artist ContainHer, Texan prog-popper Erin Bennett and African rock/crossover sensation Vodun.

Also on the bill are Spanish fronted, Newcastle-based electro-pop outfit Twist Helix and Dutch singer Mathilde Santing.

Home-based acts also comprise a sizeable part of the bill with rock outfit Bravado, Wolf Ruby, all-female funk band One More and pop singer Caroline Gilmour, plus headliners Courtesans.

Londoners Heel, Bugeye, Luci Monét, Sofia B
and Firesign will also appear on the two stages of live music from 10.30am until 11pm.

Camping and yurt hire are available with a variety of market stalls for music merch, accessories and food available.
