Late 70s act (The) Scars are set to reform for what may, or may not, be a one-off show in their hometown of Edinburgh, on 29th December.
The four-piece split in 1981 following a well-received debut album, Author! Author! on Pre, a major label subsidiary, and haven’t appeared together since, largely due to vocalist Robert King moving away from Scotland. However, guitarist Paul research has continued to keep the band’s name alive, memorably performing with video footage of King fronting the band, at the first Peel Night in 2005. The band also came back into the public eye/ear when Lemon Jelly sampled ‘Horrorshow’ which formed the basis of ‘The Shouty Track’, a #21 hit in 2005.
Supporting will be other acts from that era: the also-recently-reformed TV21, and former Orange Juice / Josef K guitarist Malcolm Ross.
