Kobi Onyame, OK Button, The Snuts and Cloth are among the acts who will represent Scotland at indie music industry festival The Great Escape.

Taking place in Brighton from Thu 9th – Sat 11th May, 10 emerging Scottish acts will be among the 500 or so from around the world who will play the UK’s annual festival for new music.

Other Scottish acts appearing over the three days include chart star Lewis Capaldi, whose Brighton Dome gig on Thu 9th May is already a sellout, while The Van T’s, The Ninth Wave, and Wuh Oh will also perform.

The three-day event takes place across the city on England’s south coast, with the Creative Scotland-backed showcases taking place at the One Church venue.

The up-and-coming Scottish artists set to play Showcasing Scotland sets include Aaron Smith, ALLIGATOR, Cloth, Heavy Rapids, Kobi Onyame, LUCIA, OK Button, Tamzene, The Snuts and Walt Disco will at One Church (Thu 9 & Fri 10 May) as well as additional Great Escape shows.

As well as the two showcases, the Edinburgh-based conference Born to be Wide will with Creative Scotland host a Scottish Networking Reception at the Old Ship Hotel on Thu 9th May.
